A new free component for Elxis CMS is currently being developed by IOS. It's name is Bubbles.
It is quite difficult to categorize this component and its creation is an on the spot inspiration. To understand what it is I will tell you what it does and where it can be used. The component generates message threads written by site users that are being displayed inside "bubbles". A user starts a thread, others may answer. It looks like a forum but it's not. It looks like a blog, but it's not. It looks like a chat, but it's not. Component Bubbles is all of them. It can be really useful for providing support (questions/answers), as a chat script, for file sharing (supports file attachments in messages), as a FAQs script and for many other usages. Bubbles will be available in a few days and will be compatible to Elxis 2008.x and PHP 5.x. More information available soon.
