I created an account on Twitter (IsOpenSource) in order to inform, in real time, Elxis users and IOS customers about the status of the software I develop. Serbian (latin) language package is available for IOS Reservations 3.5 and 3.6. Users can download the new language from within IOSR control panel. Thanks Dalibor Radovanovic for the translation. IOS Reservations is now translated into 16 languages.

IOS Reservations Connector plugin for Joomla was updated in version 1.2.

From July 24 to 29 and August 13 to 26, 2011 we will be on vacations. Therefor during these dates we will not provide support and we will not process offline orders. IOS Eshop updated in version 2.2. Version 2.2 includes updated javascript libraries for mootools and slimbox. The new version also prevents web robots from adding products to the cart. An update from version 2.1 to version 2.2 is available for download from within IOS Eshop control panel.

IOS Reservations updated in version 3.6. Version 3.6 includes updated javascript libraries for mootools, calendar and slimbox. The new version also fixes an Internet Explorer 9 bug with the calendar script. An update from version 3.5 to version 3.6 is available for download from within IOS Reservations control panel.

IOSR Connector updated in version 1.1. Version 1.1 includes updated javascript libraries for mootools, calendar and slimbox. The new version also fixes an Internet Explorer 9 bug with the calendar script. Customers having purchased IOSR connector 1.0 and wish to update to 1.1 should contact Is Open Source and provide their activation key for IOSR Connector.

Is Open Source develops the core and the main features of the new generation for Elxis CMS Nautilus. Elxis Nautilus (elxis 4.0) is a brand new open source CMS with amazing features. Its public release is estimated before the end of 2011.

Korean and Latvian language packages are available for IOS Reservations 3.5. Existing users can download these new languages from within IOSR control panel. Thanks Herve Genna and Raivis Balodis for the translations. IOS Reservations is now translated into 15 languages.

We completed the integration of IOS Eshop with BiblioNet. The integration provides automatic import of books from biblionet.gr to the shopping cart IOS Eshop. The integration made after request for a specific online bookstore.

IOS Reservations software family aquired a new member, IOSR Connector. This extension of IOS Reservations allows you to accept bookings from remote web sites.

IOS Reservations v3.5 is now available for purchase. The demo site was updated with the new version and you can now test online the system before you buy it.

IOS Reservations 3.5 is available to old customers as an update package from v3.3 to v3.5. Download the update package from within IOS Reservations control panel (section Update). Read carefully the included how-to guide before you begin the update process.

The long waiting IOS Reservations v3.5 is ready and will be released soon.

Today we downloaded in an offline secure location backups for all sites and databases hosted by Is Open Source. Taking offline backups, besides the daily online ones, makes sure that whatever happens there always will be backups for the sites hosted at Is Open Source web servers stored in a secure offlie location. Thanks to Pedro Vieira there is now a Portuguese translation for IOS Reservations v3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3. IOSR owners can download the language files from within their IOSR control panel (section Update). IOS Reservations, after the Portuguese addition, is translated into 12 languages.

Is Open Source continiously updates and improves its software. Currently we develop the next version (3.5) of the famous IOS Reservations online hotel booking software as well as an updated version of the IOS Newsletter bulk mailing system for Elxis CMS.

Appendix 1.2 supports the generation of appendices for eblog posts, eshop products and eforum topics! It also supports SSL connections, appendices using the Russian alphabet, it is translated also into German and has many other improvements.

The development of the eForum component for Elxis CMS is complete. eForum is a full-featured forum developed by Ioannis Sannos and will be released for free to Elxis users during the next days. A new PayPal based payment gateway was released for free to old and new IOS Reservations customers for currencies not supported by PayPal. Old customers can download the PayPal Exchange payment gateway via IOS Reservations control panel (section Update).

Services on the Hades web server turned back to normal and all problems were solved. If you own a web hosting account at Hades web server please read carefully the rest of this announcement.

Το πρόβλημα στο διακομιστή Hades φαίνεται πως είναι μη αναστρέψιμο και οφείλεται σε αστοχία του σκληρού δίσκου (bad sectors). Προσανατολιζόμαστε στη μεταφορά των site σε άλλο server της Is Open Source. Τα δεδομένα όλων των site είναι ασφαλή. Η διαδικασία της μεταφοράς σε άλλο server ίσως κρατήσει έως και 3 ημέρες. Due to incoming/outgoing attacks the communication of the web server Hades with the outer world is temporary blocked. Due to this block all the web sites hosted on the Hades web server are not accessible. This block was not made by us but by the data center company that hosts the web server. We are sorry for this situation even if it is not our fault. All data are safe and all sites are fine. All services will return to normal soon.

Exidna web server will be moved to another data center (DC) on the night of 01.03.2010 to 02.03.2010. This means that sites hosted on the Exidna web server (including isopensource.com) will not be accessible from Monday, March 01 23:15 UTC+2 until Tuesday, March 2 about 08:30 UTC+2.

IOS Reservations was updated to version 3.3. The new version has an improved calendar and also gives you the option to set the minimum acceptable stay nights at your hotels.

The new version, 2.0, of IOS Eshop is avalable and you can purchase it online or place your orders. The demo site for the new version will be available in a few days.

The new version, 2.0, of IOS Eshop is avalable and owners of v1.x can now update their eshop installations to version 2.0 for free. Download the update patch (patch_eshop_1.x_to_2.0.zip) from within your IOS Eshop administration area and follow the guides included to update your shop to version 2.0. When finish contact Is Open Source requesting a license for the new version. You must also provide IOS your current license key and your site URL.

Offline Credit Card is a new payment method for IOS Reservations that allows you to process credit cards offline. IOSR owners can download it for free from within IOSR control panel.

On all websites running Elxis CMS and hosted on exidna and hades web servers an emergency security patch was applied. The patch was applied preventively on all Elxis hosted sites by Is Open Source. For more information click here.

IOS Reservations was updated to version 3.2. The new version provides better images, css and js files links handling for SSL enabled web sites.

IOS Reservations was updated to version 3.1. The new version provides the option to display Elxis content Bots insite hotels and locations description areas.

IOS Reservations v3.0 released and you can purchase it online from IOS web site. Beta testers and translators having IOSR 3.0 before its official release will soon get via e-mail an update patch to the final version. The demo site is under construction.

IOS NoobSlide is a module for Elxis CMS that allows you to slide images from various sources using many different styles and with many options to control the module appearance and functionality. IOS Noobslide is part of the IOS Reservations 3.x package and its free-of-charge distribution is a gently offer of Is Open Source to Elxis CMS users. You can download IOS NoobSlide from EDC.

The development of the Query Passport component for the National Passport Center of the Hellenic Police was completed.

The first installable and fully usable release of IOS Reservations v3.0 hotel booking system is ready. This beta version is addressed to IOS official partners for testing and building add-ons for it. We estimate that the final, public available, version will be ready in about 2 weeks. Current version: IOS Reservations v3.0 rev166 Beta.

Shopping cart component IOS Eshop updated to version 1.2. The new version provides compatibility to PHP 5.3 or newer. If you have PHP 5.2 or older you dont have to upgrade IOS Eshop to version 1.2.

The new Elxis CMS web site, developed by Is Open Source, launched today. During the development process we had to solve various technological problems as the web site is the central site of the Elxis CMS network. I believe that the final site fullfils the high quality standards a web site such as elxis.org should met.

Component IOS Reservations to version 2.1. Existing customers can download an update patch directly from their IOS Reservations control panel. Instructions on how to apply the patch are inside the patch package. The new version fix some minor importance bugs and improves Google maps accurancy. This is the last upgrade till the release of version 3.0.

Component IOS Sitemap upgraded to version 2.0 and more over the license changed from Commercial to Creative Commons 3.0. This means that the component is now free and you can download it from the IOS Sitemap page on EDC. One more great software that Is Open Source offers you for free.

A new version of IOS Sitemap is under development. The new version will include all the latest Elxis CMS features and it will have a new engine and diferrent layout than it's ancestor.

Shopping cart component IOS Eshop updated to version 1.1. The new version provides compatibility to Elxis 2009.0 better SEO PRO base name for component eshop. An update patch was also released for v1.0 users and you can download it from within your e-shop control panel. Also a new module became available for IOS eshop (Products I have seen).

Download manager component IOS Downloads for Elxis CMS updated to version 1.1. The most significant change in the new version is that a listing can now be assigned to multiple categories. Free download of IOS Downloads 1.1.

The development of a Flickr API for Elxis CMS and IOS Reservations was completed. The API allows you to display automatically images from Flickr for any location in the world inside Elxis CMS and IOS Reservations.

IOS Reservations 3.0 developement is still in progress. The new version will change dramatically IOS Reservations making it one of the best booking software solutions. More information will be anounced in June 2009. IOS Reservations 3.0 on Elxis wiki.

IOS Gallery is new gallery component for Elxis CMS that is being developed by Is Open Source. IOS Gallery will be released for free and you will be able to download it from elxis-downloads.com. Estimated release date: end of March 2009.

A complete user manual for IOS eshop shopping cart component is now available and eshop users can download it for free from within their eshop administration.

The development of the shopping cart application eShop is complete. Eshop is an Elxis CMS component that gives you the option to convert your Elxis web site to a powerfull online shopping cart. Supports both tangible and intagible goods (downloadable products too), wishlist, express checkout, multi-lingual description in products and categories, multi-level categories, search, tags, purchase history, RSS feeds, AJAX lightbox windows for pictures, videos inside product descriptions, special offers, discount coupons, many payment gateways and shipping methods and more. At this time we do the final online tests and we write the component documentation. More information and a detailed list of eshop features will be announced within this month.

A new module published today by IOS at Elxis Downloads Center. Module Exchange Rates shows exchange rates according to European Central Bank. You may change the base currency from euro to anything you wish. Download module Exchange Rates.

A new module added to the IOS Reservations package for online hotel reservations. The new module shows a search for hotel room form and has as search creteria the hotel location and the check-in and check-out dates. If you have already purchased IOS Reservations ask us to send you this module for free.

A new component for Elxis CMS is being developed by Is Open Source for handling file downloads. The component IOS Downloads is a complete download system that will cover all your needs. The component is currently under development (70% of the development process already done). Estimated release date: December 15, 2008. IOS Downloads will be released for free although it is a possible a second, commercial, version to be released with even more features. More information in the near future.

A new component for Elxis CMS for sending news letters is under development by Is Open Source. The component will be released on October or November 2008. Requirements: Elxis 2008.0, 2008.1 or newer and PHP 5. More information in the near future.

Version 1.6 contains 2 new extesnions for components eBlog and Bubbles and also an updated version for the IOS Reservations 2.0. The component is now only compatible to Elxis 2008.x. If you have Elxis 2006.x ask us to send you version 1.3. The new version also loads faster than the previous one due to an improvement to the links generation system for each map node.

You can download for free the complete user manual for the IOS Reservations online hotel booking system updated to the latest version (2.x) of the famous component. The manual is recommended to both old and new users but also to those want to see Reservations features before purchasing it.

Bubbles is a multi-purpose mini forum component for Elxis CMS. You can downloaded for free from the Elxis Downloads Center. Bubbles can be used as a forum component, as a FAQ or support tool, as a Guestbook and for any other purpose you may find it useful. Created by Ioannis Sannos (Is Open Source).

The new IOS's free module Doctor Cloud is available for download from the Elxis Downloads Center. The module creates a tag cloud for an Elxis Blog (eBlog). The module selects automatically the current blog viewed by a visitor to generate the tags cloud. If the visitor does not see any blog then a default blog is being used for the tags cloud generation. Requires Elxis 2008.1 or newer and PHP 5.0 or newer.

A new free component for Elxis CMS is currently being developed by IOS. It's name is Bubbles. It is quite difficult to categorize this component and its creation is an on the spot inspiration. To understand what it is I will tell you what it does and where it can be used. The component generates message threads written by site users that are being displayed inside "bubbles". A user starts a thread, others may answer. It looks like a forum but it's not. It looks like a blog, but it's not. It looks like a chat, but it's not. Component Bubbles is all of them. It can be really useful for providing support (questions/answers), as a chat script, for file sharing (supports file attachments in messages), as a FAQs script and for many other usages. Bubbles will be available in a few days and will be compatible to Elxis 2008.x and PHP 5.x. More information available soon...

We are seeking for volunteers to translate the new free module Doctor Cloud in more languages. Doctor Cloud generates a tags cloud for usage at component eBlog of the new Elxis 2008.1. If you wish to partitipate to the Elxis open source CMS development here is your chance! It wont last you more than an hour to translate this module. More information as well as the english language file, on which you should base your translation, at Elxis forums.

Component IOS Reservations next generation is under development. The new version will be even more powerful and with more features making IOS Reservations one of the best reservations system in its category. Estimated release date: September 2008.

A shopping cart solution for Elxis CMS is currently under development. The name of the new component is eShop and it is estimated that it will be ready on November 2008.
